They were huddled into their coats, trying to keep warm.

Melanie was wearing a thin, white dress, but she was oblivious to the cold. She walked slowly up the stone steps towards Dave, a bouquet of sunflowers in her hand.  A friend wearing a leather jacket and spiky hair played a folk song on his guitar.  She got to the top of the stairs and started walking down the aisle towards Dave.  There were tears in eyes as he extended his hands to take hers.  Her  face shone with joy.  And then they were married.

I took the photo of Melanie and Dave, radiant with happiness, on top of Mount Royal, a short time later.
